My journey to founding EmpOur didn't start in a boardroom. It started on the front lines: the classroom.

With a Master's degree in Teaching, I spent eight years working with K–8 students across both public and private schools in the United States. I entered the profession with a deep reverence for real pedagogy and human development.

What I found broke my heart.

I saw how outdated and toxic the traditional school system had become — even at expensive private schools. I witnessed classrooms where compliance was valued over curiosity, where teachers yelled to maintain control, and where the skills that actually matter were entirely ignored.

I saw clearly that without a fundamental shift, our kids were being set up for incredibly difficult lives. They were being prepared for a world that no longer exists.

That realisation became my mission. I left the traditional system to create EmpOur—a practice dedicated to developing the deeply human capacities that technology can never replicate.
